Regular Season Round 9: KTE-Duna - Kormend 82-69

The most surprising game was the first loss of Kormend (1-1) in Kecskemet on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by eleventh ranked KTE-Duna (2-3) 82-69. The former international point guard Krisztian Wittmann (185-85) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) and 4 steals for the winners and Serbian swingman Marko Derasimovic (199-84) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Xeyrius Williams (206-97, college: Akron) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Xavier Thames (191-91, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Kormend's coach Ziga Mravljak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KTE-Duna moved-up to fifth place. Kormend at the other side dropped to the seventh position with one game lost. They share it with Szolnok and PVSK-Veolia. KTE-Duna are looking forward to face OSE Lions (#10) in Oraszlany in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kormend will play at home against Szombathely and is hoping to win this game.
