Regular Season Round 4: Dynamo K. - Sparta&K MR 96-48

PBL top team - Dynamo Kursk (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (1-2) 96-48. Dynamo Kursk held Spartak Vidnoye to an opponent 21.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 53.2 percent accuracy of the winners and made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Dynamo Kursk forced 20 Spartak Vidnoye turnovers and had a 36-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Dynamo Kursk especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Spartak Vidnoye's players. 26 personal fouls committed by Spartak Vidnoye helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for international power forward Raisa Musina (191-98) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Arike Ogunbowale (173-97, college: Notre Dame) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Darya Ignatova (180-0) replied with 8 points and point guard Sevara Nuritdinova (163-98) added 7 points in the effort for Spartak Vidnoye. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dynamo Kursk have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Spartak Vidnoye at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Dynamo Kursk's next round opponent will be Nika (#8) in Syktyvkar and are hoping to win another game. Spartak Vidnoye will play at home against Spartak Noginsk and hope to win that game.
