Important game to mention about took place in Paphou. Third ranked Keravnos (4-1) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked APOP (1-4) 79-78 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Keravnos shot 20 for 30 from the free-throw line, while APOP only scored three points from the stripe. American players dominated also this game. Guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Andre Williamson (203-89, college: App State) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Tristin Walley (201-96, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and point guard TJ Washington (183-96, college: Utah Valley) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Keravnos and five APOP players scored in double figures. Keravnos have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with E.N. Paralimni. APOP lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. Keravnos will play against bottom-ranked AEL (#9) in Limassol in the next round and are hoping to win another game. APOP will play on the road against Apoel in Nicosia to get more than just one victory in their record.
