Very important is a road loss of third ranked Burevestnik (3-2) against ninth ranked Ufimets Ufa (3-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Burevestnik was defeated by Ufimets Ufa in Ufa 73-63. Burevestnik was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Kazakhstan forward Aleksandr Zhigulin (205-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Nikita Zverev (209-94) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Ufimets Ufa players scored in double figures. Forward Andrey Semenov (200-90, college: JMU) replied with 24 points and power forward Kirill Gornaev (203-96) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Burevestnik. Ufimets Ufa moved-up to seventh place. Burevestnik at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Ufimets Ufa will play against bottom-ranked Khimky-Podmos. (#14) in Khimki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Burevestnik will play at home against Univ.Surgut (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
