Regular Season Round 7: AEK Larnaca - E.N. Paralimni 80-77

There was a minor upset when much higher ranked E.N. Paralimni (4-2) was edged on the road by fourth ranked AEK Larnaca (5-2) 80-77 on Wednesday. E.N. Paralimni trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 12 after three quarters before a 18-9 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 77-80 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for American guard Quentin Snider (188-95, college: Louisville, agency: GoEmpire Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 7 assists. The former international guard Andreas Sizopoulos (190-83) helped adding 21 points. Four AEK Larnaca players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) responded with 37 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import swingman Dalan Ancrum (198-96, college: W.Illinois) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. AEK Larnaca have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. E.N. Paralimni at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. AEK Larnaca will face league's leader Apollon in Limassol in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. E.N. Paralimni will play at home against the league's second-placed Keravnos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
