Regular Season Round 11: ZTE NKK - Sopron 47-104

Undefeated leader Sopron recorded the seventh consecutive victory on Monday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked ZTE NKK (0-8) 104-47 in Zalaegerszeg. Sopron dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to ZTE NKK's 26 and made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Sopron forced 24 ZTE NKK turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by ZTE NKK's players. The best player for the winners was French-American forward Gabby Williams (180-96, college: UConn, agency: Wasserman) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Serbian Jelena Milovanovic-Brooks (189-89) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). Five Sopron players scored in double figures. Bosnian point guard Miljana Dzombeta (175-94) produced 16 points and guard Bianka Kulcsar (180-97) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Sopron. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. ZTE NKK lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Sopron will face PINKK-Pecsi (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ZTE NKK will play against the league's second-placed Csata and hopes to get finally their first victory.
