Regular Season Round 8: BARS-RGEU - Rusichi K. 88-77

BARS-RGEU can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Rusichi K. (2-6) 88-77. BARS-RGEU players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Rusichi K.'s players. Forward Artem Kuzmin (202-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Alex Dubovitskiy (197-94, college: Chicago St.) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Dubovitskiy is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four BARS-RGEU players scored in double figures. Guard Aleksey Makarov (192-92) replied with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Maksim Voytov (207-94) added 20 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Rusichi K.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BARS-RGEU (1-5) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Mitsu B. Rusichi K. at the other side keeps the ninth position with six games lost. BARS-RGEU will play against higher ranked Dynamo STV (#5) in Stavropol in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Rusichi K. will play at home against Metallurg MGN (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
