Regular Season Round 8: Mitsu B. - Dynamo-MGTU 71-80

There was no surprise in Lipetsk where 10th ranked Mitsu B. (1-5) was defeated by eighth ranked Dynamo-MGTU (3-4) 80-71. Dynamo-MGTU outrebounded Mitsu B. 47-35 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Ukrainian center Nikolay Eremin (204-85) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Ilia Aleksandrov (194-81) supported him with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Dynamo-MGTU's coach Andrei Sinielnikov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds by center Semen Pinaev (208-99) did not help to save the game for Mitsu B.. Guard Sergey Rozhkov (188-99) added 15 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Four Mitsu B. players scored in double figures. Dynamo-MGTU moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Neftekhimik T. Mitsu B. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Dynamo-MGTU's next round opponent will be league's second-placed AltajBasket in Barnau and it may be quite challenging game. Mitsu B. will play on the road against Neftekhimik T. (#7) in Tobolsk and hope to win that game.
