Regular Season Round 7: APOP Paphou - ENAD 40-78

Bottom-ranked APOP Paphou is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fifth ranked ENAD (2-4) 78-40 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. ENAD led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding APOP Paphou to just 4 points in first quarter. ENAD dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to APOP Paphou's 24. ENAD forced 24 APOP Paphou turnovers and outrebounded them 39-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Madison Torresin (183-96, college: W.Chester) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Chryso Constantinou (172-93) accounted for 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. American guard Miyah Barnes (165-98, college: UAB) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and center Eleni Kalli (184-96) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for APOP Paphou in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ENAD maintains fifth place with 2-4 record. Loser APOP Paphou still closes the standings with six games lost. ENAD will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. APOP Paphou will play against Etha (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
