Regular Season Round 11: TSU - Vostok-65 89-87

Eighth-ranked Vostok-65 (3-4) made lots of trouble for second ranked TSU (7-2) in Revda. TSU managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected much easier game. The former international guard Maxim Kolyushkin (191-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Aleksandr Zakharov (202-93) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four TSU players scored in double figures. Center Grigory Shukhovtsov (211-83) answered with 23 points and 9 rebounds and forward Agasiy Tonoyan (205-98, college: MVSU) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Vostok-65. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. TSU have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-2 record having just two point less than leader Samara. Vostok-65 at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. TSU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vostok-65 will play at home against Runa Basket (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
