Regular Season Round 12: Uni Gyor - Miskolc 73-70

The most exciting game of round 12 in the A Division took place in Gyor. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of their close opponent Miskolc (6-4) to fourth ranked Uni Gyor (7-2) 73-70 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Miskolc. The best player for the winners was American forward Beatrice Mompremier (193-96, college: Miami, FL, agency: Wasserman) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Brianna Kiesel (171-93, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Uni Gyor's coach Dalma Ivanyi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Dora Medgyessy (175-86) who recorded 19 points and 9 assists and American forward Keyona Hayes (187-94, college: Miami, FL) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Uni Gyor have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Miskolc at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Uni Gyor are again looking forward to face Miskolc (#5) on the road in the next round. Miskolc will play against TFSE-MTK and is hoping to win this game.
