Very expected game in Jaszberenyi where bottom-ranked JP-Auto JKSE (0-5) was crushed by second ranked Kormend (6-1) 93-64 on Saturday. Kormend dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to JP-Auto JKSE's 34. They outrebounded JP-Auto JKSE 45-20 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kormend looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Xeyrius Williams (206-97, college: Akron) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) who added 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Robert Fuzi (195-99) with 17 points and American guard Donovan Donaldson (185-96, college: Tusculum, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kormend have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-1 record behind leader Atomeromu. Loser JP-Auto JKSE still closes the standings with five games lost. Kormend will face Szedeak (#3) in Szeged in the next round, which may be the game of the day. JP-Auto JKSE will play on the road against OSE Lions (#9) in Oraszlany and hopes to get finally their first victory.
