Regular Season Round 12: Irkut - Burevestnik 61-69

Bottom-ranked Irkut is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to sixth ranked Burevestnik (6-3) 69-61. Irkut was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Roman Balandin (205-97) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and center Ivan Nelyubov (206-88, agency: Alti Sport) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Pavel Aleksandrov (189-89) with 14 points and swingman Grigoriy Andreev (193-90) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Irkut's coach Vadim Filatov rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Burevestnik moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Uralmash. Newly promoted Irkut still closes the standings with eight games lost. Burevestnik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Irkut will play on the road against Khimky-Podmos. (#11) in Khimki and hopes to get finally their first victory.
