Regular Season Round 13: Kazanochka - Chevakata 67-60

Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Chevakata (6-5) was defeated on the road by third ranked Kazanochka (10-2) 67-60. They made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for guard Victoria Mazur (164-92) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Yana Panevina (168-91, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 15 points and 9 assists for the winners. Center Ekaterina Terekhova (188-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Alina Zabolotskaya (179-93) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chevakata. Chevakata's coach Mladen Manojlovic gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kazanochka. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Samara. Chevakata at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Kazanochka's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Dynamo-En.IVA (#14) in Ivanovo which should be an easy win for them. Chevakata will play on the road against the league's second-placed Samara (#2) and hope to win that game.
