Regular Season Round 11: Dynamo STV - Dynamo-MGTU 60-89

The biggest surprise of round 11 in Superleague 2 was guest Dynamo-MGTU's (6-4) easy road victory over Dynamo STV (#6) 89-60 on Friday evening. Dynamo-MGTU forced 19 Dynamo STV turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Maksim Knyazev (200-96) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Alexandr Milyutin (198-97) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Dynamo-MGTU's coach Andrei Sinielnikov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Dmitriy Prokin (193-97) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Rostislav Karenin (204-94) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Dynamo-MGTU have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Metallurg MGN. Dynamo STV at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Dynamo-MGTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Maykop Dynamo-MGTU.
