The game in Nicosia was also quite interesting. Third ranked Phoenix (5-3) played at the court of 5th ranked ENAD (2-6). Phoenix managed to secure a 8-point victory 65-57 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ENAD won fourth quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Wendi Bibbins (185-94, college: Indiana St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and Mezra Torlak (172-2) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Phoenix's coach Pantelis Konstantinou used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Madison Torresin (183-96, college: W.Chester) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Revekka Christodoulou (170-2) scored 16 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. The victory was the third consecutive win for Phoenix. They maintain third place with 5-3 record having just three points less than leader Anorthosis. Loser ENAD dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Phoenix's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Limassol AEL.
