Regular Season Round 14: TSU - Samara 85-86

The most exciting game of round 14 in the Superleague 1 took place in Revda. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-ranked TSU (8-3) to first ranked Samara (9-1) 86-85 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of TSU. 25 personal fouls committed by TSU helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was point guard Anton Glazunov (185-86) who scored 19 points and 5 assists. Point guard Daniil Axenov (183-95) chipped in 16 points. The former international guard Maxim Kolyushkin (191-90) produced 14 points and 6 assists and power forward Andrey Kirdyachkin (207-90) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four TSU players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Samara maintains first position with 9-1 record. TSU at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Uralmash. Samara will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TSU will play at home against Novosybirsk and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
