Regular Season Round 14: Ujbuda - Atomeromu 79-92

There was no surprise in Budapest where 10th ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (2-11) was defeated by second ranked Atomeromu (11-1) 92-79 on Wednesday. Atomeromu made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 BEAC-Ujbuda turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian Maja Skoric (186-89) who scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Reka Balint (182-91) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Ieshia Small (183-94, college: Maryland) produced 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Julia Boros (175-2) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five BEAC-Ujbuda players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Atomeromu have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. BEAC-Ujbuda lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 11 games lost. Atomeromu will face bottom-ranked ZTE NKK (#12) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round which should be an easy win for them. BEAC-Ujbuda's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Budapest Csata.
