The game was mostly controlled by AEK Larnaca. APOP was better in fourth quarter 25-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded APOP 46-32 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian-Nigerian forward Derek Ogbeide (203-97, college: Georgia) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 24 rebounds for the winning side and American forward DeJon Davis (201-98, college: CBU) accounted for 22 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Courtney Pigram (185-85, college: ETSU) came up with 34 points (!!!) and the other American import forward Tristin Walley (201-96, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for APOP in the defeat. AEK Larnaca have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 9-3 record behind leader Apollon. APOP at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. AEK Larnaca will play against bottom-ranked AEL (#9) in Limassol in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. APOP will play on the road against the league's second-placed Keravnos in Strovolos and hopes to get back on the winning track.
