No shocking result in a game in Sankt Petersburg where fourth ranked Zenit-2 (13-9) smashed bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (3-15) 102-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. Zenit-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 26 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Zenit-2 forced 20 Enisey-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for guard Konstantin Shevchuk (190-0, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Ivan Belousov (199-1) helped adding 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Zenit-2 players scored in double figures. Zenit-2's coach Ramunas Cvirka felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Pavel Metelev (192-0) responded with 31 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and center Dmitriy Ivanov (198-1) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Zenit-2 moved-up to third place. Enisey-2 lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 15 games lost. Zenit-2 will meet N.Novgorod-2 (#4) in the next round. Enisey-2 will play against MBA-2 (#6) and hope to secure a win.
