There was a minor upset in Zalaegerszeg where 10th ranked PVSK-Veolia (4-7) was defeated by twelfth ranked ZTE KK (3-5) 83-72 on Saturday. ZTE KK made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Zsolt Szabo (204-86) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Croatian forward Tonko Vuko (203-94, college: Pacific) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. ZTE KK's coach Ante Nazor allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International guard Andras Rujak (189-88) produced 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Serbian center Veljko Brkic (206-95) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four ZTE KK and five PVSK-Veolia players scored in double figures. ZTE KK moved-up to eleventh place. Loser PVSK-Veolia keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. ZTE KK will meet higher ranked Alba (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PVSK-Veolia will play against KTE-Duna (#12) in Kecskemet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
