Bottom-ranked APOP Paphou is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to fifth ranked Anagennises (3-5) 83-51 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Anagennises led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding APOP Paphou to just 7 points in third quarter. Anagennises held APOP Paphou to an opponent 24.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded APOP Paphou 63-30 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Even 32 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Miyah Barnes (165-98, college: UAB) did not help to save the game for APOP Paphou. Guard Maria Petrou (170-99) added 10 points for lost side. Anagennises maintains fifth position with 3-5 record. Loser APOP Paphou still closes the standings with nine games lost. Anagennises will meet ENAD (#6) in the next round. APOP Paphou will play against Etha and hopes to get finally their first victory.
