An interesting game took place in Kursk where higher ranked Chevakata (8-6) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Dynamo-Farm (5-9) 72-54. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chevakata. Dynamo-Farm dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Chevakata's 24. Dynamo-Farm forced 20 Chevakata turnovers. The winners were led by forward Elena Mikhailova (183-0) who scored that evening 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and international center Elizaveta Shabanova (197-97) supported her with 17 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws). Even 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by center Ekaterina Terekhova (188-90) did not help to save the game for Chevakata. Belarusian Vialeta Kiulyak (187-96) added 6 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dynamo-Farm moved-up to ninth place. Chevakata at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Dynamo-Farm will play against bottom-ranked Dynamo-En.IVA (#14) in Ivanovo in the next round where they are favorite. Chevakata will have a break next round.
