Important game to mention about took place in Surgut. Thirteenth ranked Univ.Surgut (3-7) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed TSU (8-4) 95-93 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Univ.Surgut made 28-of-32 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. TSU was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Nikita Ivanov (205-91, agency: Alti Sport) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Sergey Chernov (184-86) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Univ.Surgut players scored in double figures. Point guard Victor Zaryazhko (195-92) answered with 19 points and 5 assists and point guard Dmitriy Nezvankin (187-93) added 19 points in the effort for TSU. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Univ.Surgut moved-up to twelfth place. Loser TSU keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Univ.Surgut will face league's leader Samara at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TSU will play against Irkut in Irkutsk and hope to win that game.
