Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Budapest: TFSE-MTK (#6) and BEAC-Ujbuda (#10). TFSE-MTK (7-7) smashed visiting BEAC-Ujbuda (2-13) by 18 points 82-64. TFSE-MTK dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to BEAC-Ujbuda's 26 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded BEAC-Ujbuda 46-30 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. TFSE-MTK looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TFSE-MTK made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds and guard Reka Bernath (177-99) who added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. TFSE-MTK's coach Bianka Magyar used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side guard Julia Boros (175-2) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian forward Latinka Dusanic (175-90) scored 14 points. Four TFSE-MTK and five BEAC-Ujbuda players scored in double figures. TFSE-MTK have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 7-7 record. BEAC-Ujbuda lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 13 games lost. TFSE-MTK will face Cegledi (#8) on the road in the next round. BEAC-Ujbuda will play against the league's leader Sopron and hope to win that game.
