Regular Season Round 16: Vostok-65 - Uralmash 71-76

Very expected game in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk where 9th ranked Vostok-65 (5-6) was defeated by third ranked Uralmash (11-3) 76-71 on Friday. Vostok-65 was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Justin Roberson (187-93, college: ULM) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 9 assists and 4 steals and swingman Kirill Pisklov (192-96) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Belarusian forward Alexandr Semenyuk (207-93) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Aleksey Golyahov (189-84) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Uralmash have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Vostok-65 keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Uralmash will face bottom-ranked Irkut (#14) in Irkutsk in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Vostok-65 will play at home against TSU (#4) and hope to win that game.
