Regular Season Round 12: UMMC - Dynamo M. 122-41

PBL top team - UMMC (11-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Dynamo Moscow (1-10) in Yekaterinburg 122-41. UMMC dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo Moscow's 28. UMMC forced 25 Dynamo Moscow turnovers and outrebounded them 45-23 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Dynamo Moscow's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Hungarian-American guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: DePaul) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists and Bahamas-Bosnian center Jonquel Jones (198-94, college: GWU) who added 20 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five UMMC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Maria Savina (188-88, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) with 4 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Diana Fedotova (176-92) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Despite that victory UMMC went down to second position due to points difference. Dynamo Moscow lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with ten games lost. UMMC will play against bottom-ranked Spartak Noginsk (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dynamo Moscow will play against Dynamo NR and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
