Regular Season Round 18: TSU - Runa Basket 98-87

The most important game in the last round took place in Revda between third ranked Runa Basket (11-5) and fourth ranked TSU (11-4) on Saturday night. Runa Basket was defeated by TSU on the road 87-98. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. TSU looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Runa Basket's players. It was a good game for the former international guard Maxim Kolyushkin (191-90) who led his team to a victory with 28 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Point guard Victor Zaryazhko (195-92) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American guard Addison Spruill (199-93, college: UNCW, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and center Kirill Popov (203-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Runa Basket. Four TSU and five Runa Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Runa Basket at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with MBA Moscow. TSU are looking forward to face Burevestnik (#8) in Yaroslav in the next round where they are favorite. Runa Basket will play on the road against the league's second-placed Uralmash (#2) in Yekaterinburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
