Regular Season Round 14: Chelbasket - Mitsu B. 101-105

Bottom-ranked Mitsu B. managed to get a third victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Mitsu B. won against eighth-ranked Chelbasket in Chelyabinsk 105-101. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chelbasket. The former international center Aleksey Fedorchuk (208-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Semen Pinaev (208-99) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Mitsu B. players scored in double figures. Andrey Loginov (204-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Yegor Tikanov (194-92) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Chelbasket's coach Maxim Pertsev tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mitsu B. (3-9) moved-up to tenth place. Chelbasket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Rusichi K.. Mitsu B. will meet higher ranked Metallurg MGN (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Chelbasket will play against the league's leader Tambov and will have a slim chance for a victory.
