The most exciting game of round 23 in the VTB-Youth League took place in Perm. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Avtodor-2 (12-14) to seventh ranked Parma-2 (14-10) 72-70 on Sunday evening. Parma-2 made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Kirill Budin (181-1) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Arseniy Semenov (199-0, college: W.Texas CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Vadim Kharisov (191-0) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ilya Saltykov (206-0, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Parma-2 have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with CSKA Junior and MBA-2. Avtodor-2 lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. Parma-2 is looking forward to face league's leader Lokomotiv-2 in Krasnodar in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Avtodor-2 will play at home against MBA-2 (#4) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
