Regular Season Round 15: Metallurg MGN - Mitsu B. 89-81

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Metallurg MGN (9-5) beat 10th ranked Mitsu B. (3-10) in Chelyabinsk 89-81 on Tuesday. Metallurg MGN shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Stanislav Sarafankin (200-93) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Andrey Lysenkov (192-92) accounted for 16 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Four Metallurg MGN players scored in double figures. Metallurg MGN's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Semen Pinaev (208-99) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and the former international center Aleksey Fedorchuk (208-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Mitsu B. in the defeat. Metallurg MGN have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Mitsu B. keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Metallurg MGN will meet at home league's second-placed AltajBasket in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mitsu B. will have a break next round.
