Regular Season Round 26: PVSK-Veolia - Szedeak 81-76

The most important game in the last round took place in Pecs between third ranked Szedeak (12-7) and ninth ranked PVSK-Veolia (9-10) on Saturday night. Szedeak was defeated by PVSK-Veolia in a tough game on the road 76-81. American guard Kenney Funderburk (193-92, college: Columbus St.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian center Veljko Brkic (206-95) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five PVSK-Veolia players scored in double figures. PVSK-Veolia's coach Dragan Aleksic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) responded with 19 points and 4 assists and American forward James Dickey (208-96, college: UNCG) scored 8 points and 14 rebounds. PVSK-Veolia maintains ninth position with 9-10 record. Szedeak at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. PVSK-Veolia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Szedeak will play on the road against KTE-Duna in Kecskemet and is hoping to win this game.
