There was a minor upset in Lipetsk where 8th ranked Rusichi K. (5-11) was defeated by tenth ranked Mitsu B. (4-10) 91-84 on Saturday. Mitsu B. outrebounded Rusichi K. 48-30 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. 33 personal fouls committed by Rusichi K. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Semen Pinaev (208-99) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Alexandr Kuznetcov (187-98) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Aleksey Makarov (192-92) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and center Ilya Luppo (205-94) added 20 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Mitsu B. and four Rusichi K. players scored in double figures. Rusichi K.'s coach Sergey Yaroshenko rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mitsu B. moved-up to ninth place. Rusichi K. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Mitsu B. are looking forward to face higher ranked Dynamo STV (#6) in Stavropol in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rusichi K. will play at home against the league's second-placed AltajBasket and will have a slim chance for a victory.
