Regular Season Round 26: MBA-2 - Chevakata 82-73

We should mention about the upset which took place in Moscow, where higher ranked Chevakata (14-9) lost to eleventh ranked MBA-2 (8-15) in a road game 73-82 on Monday. It was a great shooting night for MBA-2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Guard Mariya Krymova (170-1) scored 16 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ekaterina Koshechkina (189-2) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four MBA-2 players scored in double figures. Center Ekaterina Terekhova (188-90) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Belarusian guard Sviatlana Kudrashova (171-89) scored 11 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-2 maintains eleventh position with 8-15 record. Loser Chevakata keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. MBA-2 will meet at home bottom-ranked Dynamo-En.IVA (#14) in the next round. Chevakata will play against Stavropol (#9) and hope to secure a win.
