We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Rostov where BARS-RGEU was defeated by Neftekhimik T. 85-68 on Wednesday. Guard Leonid Nikitenko (190-92) stepped up and scored 24 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners and center Kirill Arkhipov (201-96) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Neftekhimik T. players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Artem Kuzmin (202-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Aleksandr Golyakhov (195-91) scored 14 points. BARS-RGEU's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Neftekhimik T. will meet at home Dynamo STV in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BARS-RGEU will play against Rusichi K. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
