Not a big story in a game in Moscow where 12th ranked Enisey-2 (7-34) was outplayed by second ranked CSKA Junior (29-12) 111-71 on Wednesday. The game without a history. CSKA Junior led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 42. CSKA Junior forced 24 Enisey-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 47-15 including a 33-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Enisey-2's players. Center Dmitry Khalturin (210-2) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Alexander Maltsev (200-2) chipped in 18 points. CSKA Junior's coach Alexander Gerasimov felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Pavel Metelev (192-0) produced 19 points and forward Ivan Vaschenko (199-2) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for CSKA Junior. They maintain second place with 29-12 record having seven points less than leader Lokomotiv-2. Loser Enisey-2 stay dead last with 34 lost games. CSKA Junior will face again bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (#12) in Krasnoyarsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
