Important game to mention about took place in . Anorthosis saved a 2-point victory at home edging AEL 87-85 on Saturday evening. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 7-point deficit before their 24-15 run, which allowed them to win the game. Anorthosis players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Orlando Parker (203-91, college: Wagner) notched 25 points to lead the effort and center Mike Parks Jr (206-97, college: Memphis, agency: Haylett Sports) supported him with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Parks Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Anorthosis players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds by forward Corey Manigault (206-98, college: N.Mexico) did not help to save the game for AEL. Point guard Brandon Averette (180-97, college: BYU) added 24 points for the guests. Anorthosis will play against ENAD in Nicosia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AEL will play at home against APOP to get more than just one victory in their record.
