Regular Season Round 4: APOP - ENAD 95-86
Date: October 22, 2021
No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked APOP (2-2) beat bottom-ranked ENAD (0-4) in Paphou 95-86 on Friday. ENAD trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 22-18 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 86-95 at the end of the game. APOP made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) who scored that evening 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Serbian swingman Petar Zdravic (194-97) supported him with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Even 31 points and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) by Finnish guard Kalin Fisher (188-96, college: Hampton) did not help to save the game for ENAD. American guard Stuckey Mosley (190-96, college: JMU) added 21 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. APOP moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted ENAD still closes the standings with four games lost. APOP will meet higher ranked Keravnos (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. ENAD will play against the league's second-placed E.N. Paralimni (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
