MBA (3-1) recorded its first loss in Moscow on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by top-ranked Nika (4-0) 68-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of MBA. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Nika made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Nika had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. International power forward Raisa Musina (191-98) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Marina Goldyreva (169-93, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. The former international center Anastasia Logunova (193-90, agency: LBM Management) produced 17 points and the former international point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diracujan rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nika have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with UMMC. MBA at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. Nika is looking forward to face Samara (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBA will play against the league's leader Dynamo Kursk (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
