Regular Season Round 5: ENAD - E.N. Paralimni 60-72
Date: October 30, 2021
Bottom-ranked ENAD (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to leader E.N. Paralimni (5-0) 72-60 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by E.N. Paralimni. ENAD managed to win second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when E.N. Paralimni made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American power forward DeAndre Dickson (206-92, college: WWU) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Ghanian-American guard Milan Acquaah (190-97, college: CBU) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. E.N. Paralimni's coach Iezekel Papadopoulos used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Jarett Croff (208-94, college: AUM, agency: Haylett Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Kipros Sepos (193-98) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for E.N. Paralimni. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with AEK Larnaca. ENAD lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. E.N. Paralimni will meet at home Keravnos (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. ENAD will play against Etha (#6) in Nicosia and hopes to get finally their first victory.
