The game between sixth ranked BARS-RGEU (4-2) and 9th ranked Novomoskovsk (2-6) in Rostov on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. BARS-RGEU outscored guests from Tula 100-65. BARS-RGEU made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. The winners were led by guard Dmitriy Prokin (193-97) who scored that evening 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Roman Matveyev (176-98) supported him with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four BARS-RGEU players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by center Konstantin Kulikov (213-95, college: UIW) did not help to save the game for Novomoskovsk. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BARS-RGEU have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Dynamo-MGTU and Rusichi K. Novomoskovsk lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Dynamo STV and Mitsu B.. BARS-RGEU will meet at home Rusichi K. (#5) in the next round. Novomoskovsk will play against Cheb.Yastreby in Cheboksari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
