There was a minor upset in Rostov where one of their biggest challengers Rusichi K. (5-3) was defeated by sixth ranked BARS-RGEU (5-3) 83-72 on Thursday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BARS-RGEU made 7 blocks. Point guard Evgeny Marinin (192-92) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Vladislav Gusak (202-95) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five BARS-RGEU players scored in double figures. At the losing side Belarusian guard Ivan Aladko (193-95) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Semen Shashkov (205-89) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BARS-RGEU moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Rusichi K. and Chelbasket.
