Everything went according to plan in Zalaegerszeg where ninth ranked PVSK-Veolia (5-5) beat bottom-ranked ZTE KK (2-8) 78-65 on Saturday. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Michael Bryson (193-94, college: UCSB) fired 25 points for the winners. Forward Justin Gordon (198-93, college: Wofford) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Gordon is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four PVSK-Veolia players scored in double figures. Guard Carlton Guyton (193-90, college: Kent St.) produced 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Jordan Barnett (201-95, college: Missouri) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. PVSK-Veolia moved-up to fourth place, which they share with DEAC and Kaposvari. ZTE KK lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. They share it with Atomeromu. PVSK-Veolia will meet OSE Lions (#8) in the next round. ZTE KK will play against Alba (#11) in Szekesfehervar and hope to secure a win.
