Not a big story in a game in Limassol where 12th ranked ENAD (1-7) was defeated by sixth ranked AEL (4-4) 83-79 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 47-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. AEL made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Corey Manigault (206-98, college: N.Mexico) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds. The other American import point guard Brandon Averette (180-97, college: BYU) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four AEL players scored in double figures. Finnish guard Kalin Fisher (188-96, college: Hampton) produced 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Stuckey Mosley (190-96, college: JMU) added 21 points, 5 assists and 6 steals respectively for the guests. AEL moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Omonia. Newly promoted ENAD stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. AEL will meet higher ranked Keravnos (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. ENAD will play against Achilleas K. (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
