The game in Nicosia supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Anagennises (5-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Keravnos (1-6). Anagennises smashed Keravnos 78-26 on Sunday. The game without a history. Anagennises led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Keravnos to just 4 points in first quarter and to 10 points in first half. Anagennises held Keravnos to an opponent 15.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 54.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Keravnos 52-30 including a 41-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-95, college: CBU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Mezra Torlak (172-2) accounted for 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Rafaelia Kasini (186-4) came up with 5 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Nikoleta Kontou (170-3) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Keravnos in the defeat. Anagennises maintains second place with 5-2 record behind leader Anorthosis, which they share with AEL. Keravnos lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Anagennises will meet at home ENAD (#4) in the next round. Keravnos will play against the league's leader Anorthosis in Larnaca and hope to win that game.
