The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Enisey Krasnoyarsk's (4-4) home loss to fourth ranked MBA (6-2) 57-82 on Sunday. MBA outrebounded Enisey Krasnoyarsk 39-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by international center Zhosselina Maiga (192-96) who scored that evening 8 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) supported her with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four MBA players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by Arseniia Matveeva (181-0) did not help to save the game for Enisey Krasnoyarsk. Center Anna Pachurina (195-95) added 7 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Nika. Loser Enisey Krasnoyarsk keeps the fifth position with four games lost. MBA will meet at home Nadezhda Orenburg (#7) in the next round. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will play against Samara and hope to secure a win.
