Regular Season Round 15: Rusichi K. - Dynamo-MGTU 102-99

Important game to mention about took place in Kursk. Seventh ranked Rusichi K. (7-4) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Dynamo-MGTU (9-6) 102-99 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dynamo-MGTU. Rusichi K. players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Dynamo-MGTU was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Dmitriy Doynikov (204-94) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Forward Semen Shashkov (205-89) accounted for 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Point guard Artem Gaposhin (185-91) came up with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Pavel Sizov (200-95) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Dynamo-MGTU in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rusichi K. moved-up to fifth place. Dynamo-MGTU at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Rusichi K. will again play against higher ranked Dynamo-MGTU (#3) in Maykop in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dynamo-MGTU will have a break next round.
