An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Yekaterinburg. Top-ranked UMMC faced one of their biggest challengers MBA. Host UMMC (10-0) smashed guests from Moscow (7-3) 95-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of MBA. UMMC dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to MBA's 22 and made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded MBA 40-22 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. UMMC looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by MBA's players. 24 personal fouls committed by MBA helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International center Maria Vadeeva (193-98) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Hungarian-American guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: DePaul) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four UMMC players scored in double figures. International center Zhosselina Maiga (192-96) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Tatyana Petrushina (185-90) added 12 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diracujan gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. UMMC have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 10-0 record behind leader Dynamo K. MBA at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. UMMC are looking forward to face league's leader Dynamo Kursk on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MBA will play against Samara and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
