We should mention about the upset which took place in Paphou, where higher ranked E.N. Paralimni (7-4) lost to tenth ranked APOP (4-8) in a road game 64-76. The game was mostly controlled by APOP. E.N. Paralimni was better in third quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. APOP dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to E.N. Paralimni's 30. They outrebounded E.N. Paralimni 42-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for forward Isaiah Manderson (206-94, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Justin Martin (199-90, college: SMU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Power forward DeAndre Dickson (206-92, college: WWU) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Austin Burgett (206-93, college: Notre Dame) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for E.N. Paralimni. APOP moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Achilleas K. E.N. Paralimni lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. APOP will play against higher ranked AEL (#8) in Limassol in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. E.N. Paralimni will play at home against Omonia (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
