Regular Season Round 14: Szedeak - Szolnok 81-57

The most important game in the last round took place in Szeged between second ranked Szolnok (11-3) and eighth ranked Szedeak (7-7) on Monday night. Szolnok was crushed by Szedeak on the road 81-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Szolnok. Szedeak dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Szolnok's 30. They outrebounded Szolnok 48-27 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Tayler Persons (191-95, college: Ball St.) who scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import guard Keandre Cook (196-97, college: Missouri St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. Dominican guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack, agency: BMS Sport Agency) produced 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Montenegrin forward Bojan Subotic (203-90) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Szedeak moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Szolnok at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost.
